About

Care Kitchen is a first-of-its-kind, nutrition-focused digital program developed by the Seena Magowitz Foundation (SMF) to address one of the most persistent and underserved challenges facing pancreatic cancer patients: food and nutrition.

For patients living with pancreatic cancer, eating is often complicated by appetite loss, digestive issues, taste changes, diabetes, and emotional distress around food. While nutrition is essential to quality of life and recovery, patients frequently lack practical, compassionate guidance tailored to their needs. Care Kitchen was created to fill this critical gap.

Care Kitchen is a weekly, professionally produced YouTube cooking series designed to nourish, educate, and empower pancreatic cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers through food and community.

Led by professional Napa-based chef Gia Fazio and joined by pancreatic cancer survivor and food blogger Christine Wells, each episode delivers nutrient-dense, adaptable recipes supported by medical expertise. Michele Stack, MS, RD, CSO, a clinical registered dietitian at Froedtert Cancer Center, serves as nutritional advisor to ensure recipes address the unique needs of this community.
